From the facts I’ve researched, the main reason that the government banned marijuana was to stall the immagration of Mexicans into America. Before it was banned, the government actually tried to switch the population of Americans over to marijuana during prohibition.
In the present tabacco is far worse for ones health than marijuana and most of the propaganda that the government used to cause negative beliefs of marijuana in the past have been disproven by science.
So what is going to have to happen for marijuana to be legalized?

What would also be the impacts? Farmers would switch there crops over? What would happen to street gangs that sell it? The American economy would get a very large boost if it were taxed like cigarettes.
Basically what im saying, is it a good idea to legalize marijuana? Would the pros out weigh the cons?

do you think the U.S. would be better if they legalize marijuana or do you think it would just cause more havoc?
